I'm routing the wiring for the Coyote PCM. In my anal effort to conceal the harness, I'm ending up with the 5amp fuse in the O2 sensor harness located in an inaccessible place. I will have to pull the dash to get at the fuse if it fails. So, here are the questions:

1. Is the fuse for the sensor heaters?
2. Do they blow very often?
3. Will the engine run if the fuse blows?

I guess I can make a remote fuse harness and locate it in the console compartment with my ISIS Mastercell if I have to. I can also get a mini-fuse style automatic reset circuit breaker, but they start at 10 amps. What would you guys do?

Lets say nobody can report a fuse failure. Ever. So, you mount yours behind the dash in an inaccesable location. Now you know what's going to happen.... you'll blow it 6-8 times before you figure out why. I would not put a fuse buried behind the dash.

Of course, you could replace the fuse with an auto reset circuit breaker. Then it won't matter much where you put it.

Bob, The auto reset breaker is an option if I can find a 5 amp. My regular sources have 10 amp and up. I might get brave and open the harness up and just relocate the fuse holder.

relocate the fuse and save yourself the headache down the road.

It's been 6 years that I've had mine on the road and have yet to blow a fuse in either the main or EFI harness'. But I still wouldn't chance it. Relocate the fuse where you can access it.

I got a 5 AMP from http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/elpages/pbcircuitbrkr.php
