Look at the link above. See the brace that FFR sent this guy. It supports the rear shock mount. I was told it works well and holds up fine.
What would I call it, and how do I get it. I called FFR and they they said they have never done an update on the rear, except to turn the shocks.

Gene, If I remember correctly, this was the first attempt at fixing that problem. All the later gen 1 and all the gen2's come with the latest revision.as standard. That build site(I think is spytech's) goes back to 2010 and earlier.
Cheers, Jeff

I am also sure that was the original and the gen 2 has the newer version.

I'm not sure what FFR has done lately in this area, but I was sent a set of brackets (Gen2 #331). I'm not using them because I am using Ted's kit. I'm sure I still have them if you would like them.

Vidal,
Yes, I would take them. I could send you a check.

Gene,
You know there's no need for that. Just text or PM me your address.
There's a set of printed instructions with them also.

Hey Everyone, QRP now has the rear shock mount back in production. Finally found a new supplier, after my other one went out of business.
This is the race proven solution for the GTM rear shock mount.

Ironically, my rear shock mount broke just now 30 miles from home

Was the shock mount the original FF5 unit or with the additional bracing that FF5 supplied?

Its one of the very early ones. Thankfully a replacement came with the car when I bought it

So I was able to get the car home. The shock mount was pretty messed up. I was able to get it back together and install the brace. I still want to replace the entire mount though. Seems a pretty bad design with that hole right in the middle.

I have the stock FFR shock mount installed along with the FFR supplied "fix" and i have to say, that over Polish roads (which are unanimously agreed to as being some of the worst in Europe), the shock mount with the FFR fix have held up perfectly well. There are no stress fractures or any signs of fatigue whatsoever. If the fix survived over Polish roads, then quite honestly, they'll survive life anywhere.

I can't tell if that's the same one I have.

Ted
I would like to order a set of your shock mounts as soon as possible. The FF fix actually has not held up, and the car is already sagging again. Have a show in CA on the 26th and hoping to get them soon so I can get the car prepped.
Email and PM sent.
Thanks!

I'm afraid i'm going to have to retract this... :(
Shock mount failed today. It didnt break, it just warped pretty badly out of place. The car now sits about an inch lower on the right hand side thanks to this.
So unfortunately, i think FFR will have to go back to the drawing board with this one..
