I finally got the wife's Cobra road worthy so she could take it for a drive. She was like a kid in a candy store waiting to drive her car again and yes it was COLD. We bought the car with a 164 miles on it but we did not like the color and few other odds and ends, so I told her I would due some body, install new interior and paint the car for her. Originally the car was a met green with tan interior. Well the paint came sooner than I thought when she ran over something and it ripped the oil line off the remote filter, "which is no longer on the engine". The 500 mile new engine was toast. The 351 is now a 410 and she loves the new power. I will post more pix of the build later when I get the hood painted, hopefully next week.

I love seeing us women at the wheel! Finish Line has the finishing touches you need. I have louvers and emblems if you need. Check out the site. It looks a little cold there. So, I will throw in a sweat shirt for the wife!

Happy Motoring,

Jackie

Thanks for the nice words guys. Should make the wife a nice Hot Rod in the spring and I will post some before and after pix with some more detail when completely finished.

Here are a few pix when we purchased the car. We removed and replaced the gauges and the front lower control arms with Factory five units. The arms were fox body donors and the wheels were weld racing wheels.

That interior looks sweet! Did you do it yourself?

No, a local guy did the interior. The guy has done some really BadAss interiors on older HotRods, I think our Cobra was like number 20 on the Cobra side and the snake was his idea and the wife liked it. He beat me up on the color but once he started putting it all together he really liked it. Wife likes it and that's the most important thing.

Good that you changed the paint and interior. That was just too tame for a roadster. You sure fixed that! I like the snake too. 410, OMG! Keep it between the ditches.

Good luck,

WEK.

Very cool. Curious if your going to keep those tires with the new powerplant? Cheers.

The tires are new so I am hoping it has enough traction to keep her in between the mailbox's.

Wheather was nice enough to take the cobra out for a drive today. This was my first real drive at wide open throttle with the new 410 and must say it was a beast. The power was smooth and pulled really hard from the bottom to the top of the RPM. Wife should enjoy the new power once the weather breaks and she can really romp on it.

Did about 1/4 mile go kart run today in 0 degrees. Too much ice to go further than 2nd gear. Turned some heads though! Waiting for spring in a bad way!

I like the paint and interior scheme. Where are you located? Looks like her smile might freeze. Nick C

I'm in Marysville Ohio. Hard to believe I drove the cobra yesterday and we have snow today. It's been a cold and wet winter this year.

Thanks for the good words. It's been a lot of fun painting and building this thing for the little lady. As soon as the weather breaks I will try to get some good outside pix and post them.
