Body fitment question

I have finished all the mechanical work and go carted it around the neighborhood. Everything works great. Now for the body work. Per instructions. I clamped the front to the firewall. Then to hit the 45.5 inch front to back cockpit measurement. I have to raise the back end about 2 inches. This causes the body flange at the bottom of the door to come off the frame, leaving a gap. Is this ok? I can use clamps to try and hold it down and then lift the back but that seems like too much stress on the body. The gap my be ok. Just making sure. Thanks for the help.2468524686

If it was me I would secure under the doors and then lift the back of the body to achieve the desired measurement.

I think you might be right Michael. Clamping down the door sill to the frame actually rotates the rear closer to the spec just by itself. Then the rear has to be raised only 1/2" instead of 2" before. Effectively shortens the radius of the movement. So that its about a 1 to 1 ratio. Raise rear 1/2". Reduce cockpit distance 1/2".
