I've been lurking a bit on this site. Finally bit the bullet and joined up. I like what I see with the Factory Five cars. The MK4 has piqued my interest the most. I have always thought it was the coolest looking car around.
Currently, I am building a Vans Aircraft RV-9A two seater all aluminum, flush riveted airplane. I've been working on it for a few years, loving every minute of the build. Over the last 3 months I have lost 2 friends in plane crashes. It has really got me thinking about how much I want to continue my flying habit. My wife really wants me "hang it up" with three little kids at home.
I kindly informed her that if I was going to sell the plane project I would have to replace it with something that flys low. (Hot Rod) Enter Factory Five.
Looking forward to learning a lot about these awesome cars.

Aarvig! Ive been dark on this site for as while being waylaid with FFR work. I can tell you that after 17 years of meeting the coolest people on the planet and seeing amazing cars built from our chassis parts, and a thousand adventures, I can say with a lot of confidence that you'll definitely have fun here and meet some great people. There are several Roadster builders in MN. I'm sure some of them will chime in here. I've been lurking for years and hope some day to build a Factory Five. I'm in Crsytal/New Hope.

CCCCCold indeed! But think of all the warm summer nights you will be enjoying when you are tearing up and down the boulevard. I am in the research/planning/dreaming stage for a 33 hot rod, and live in Chaska. I would like to get in touch with you to discuss what plans you have for your build. Dan.

My father and I ordered a MK4 complete kit first of December and it will be arriving at the house in less than a week. We can't wait to get started and have been planning for about a year. If you are ever in the Lakeville area you are more than welcome to come by and see it. I need to start getting on this site more as I frequent the FFCARS site more. I'd have to say I hate this cold weather but I think it just comes with the territory living in Minnesota.
