Should be getting my tires mounted this week and was hoping to put the car on the ground and roughly set the toe. I didn't see any hexed area for a wrench on the inner tie rod end, attached to the rack, to spin and adjust the toe. Do you need to pop out the outer joint to adjust, or will a visegrip do the trick.

No, you don't need to disassemble anything. Grip the inner tie rod as needed to turn. Too bad it doesn't have a hex or flat. Many do. One other hint. Your other alignment specs should be also roughed in at the same time IMHO. Camber and castor can also affect toe.

All the racks I have had that had a hex section had something that neither a 12mm,13mm,1/2 inch wrench would fit. So just gab a vise grip and go for it.

Thanks guys, Tried briefly with a pliers as I was installing the rack but didn't get too serious about it. Didn't want to move but I'm sure it's just stiff because it's new. Vise grips will work I'm sure.
Merry Christmas!

I haven’t done toe adjustments for a while but I believe after you loosen the clamp on the small end of the rubber bellows you can slide the bellows back far enough that you can get the vice grips on the steering link in an area that is covered by the bellows so that if or when you scratch the steering link the scratches won’t show once the bellows is repositioned.
