Picture number 1 is the old radiator and original fan mount. I have 700 miles on the car and developed a leak in the radiator that FFR is replacing. (The leak is on the front side of the radiator)
Picture number 2 is the surprise I got when I removed the fan from the radiator.
Picture number 3 is a close-up of how close I came to having another leak.
Picture number 4 is a shroud I made and did not use. In the past several forum members felt I would have little or no air flow in the corners of the shroud.
I don't want to mount the fan just as I had done before so either I space the fan further from the core or my other thought was to "tastfully" drill a series of large holes in the shroud and turn it into a "high-tech" fancy fan mount.
I would appreciate comments and or better ideas.
Thank you,
Bob

Hi Bob,

I think you have a very good start to a nice custom shroud. If you add a little depth by creating say a 1.5 inch spacer on the sides and then a tapered piece on top and bottom, you would have a conical shaped shroud that would be very efficient. I don't know how much space you have to work with but a cardboard or poster template will give you accurate measurements for your cutouts that you can mock up on your radiator. You already have your back section sized for the fan. If you have a metal break, it is much easier. I have a 31 inch one from HB.

Good luck,

WEK.

Search "coupe Rad Shroud" by Fluge (me) in the other Forum. I used a Breeze shroud intended for the roadster and modified it for the coupe. Fits great. If you need more pictures let me know.

I'm a bit biased but I do believe this is the single best solution for fan/shroud you can get for the FFR AFCO Radiator. Check it out.

Yep. I did the same on my coupe and added separate harness from The Hollister Road company. It was activated 3 ways, temp sensor for low, A/C on for High and manual override on the dash for high. Never ever had a heat issue with that thing.
