Pretty interesting design and 2h from where I live.
818 is still cheaper to me, though. And I want a roadster. :)

flyboy-

I still like Rodney's design. However, I have a hunch that had Factory Five decided to go with that design, that sales would not be as brisk as they are right now for the 818. I am glad that Rodney's design found a home though, and I wish him much success!

Regards,

Steve

What makes you think this is Rodney's design?

Besides all the HYPE in the ad, it seems they have not built even one car yet - those are all concept pictures even with the guy leaning on the car
If that can take a V8, then why the short wheel base? Where does the motor go, front or back?
If they expect to sell this for quite a lot of money, they need to produce one & test it, show the results, instead of showing some moron giving hand gestures like a rapper.
Build it, throw it on the road course, then speak how great it is---and fix the front end…..looks like a transformer in those kids shows (or a Chevy Camaro)
Hard to HYPE something to car builders without some kind of past track record, something Factory 5 has and proven.

Frank, Roadsters ARE pretty dam fun. They sit there looking pretty, turn the key, then they explode and insult the politically correct.

That looks much worse than any design Rodney shared on this site.

The comments are amusing, and for the most part pretty much spot on IMHO.

I agree that the claims made sound like pure vaporware and that the design needs to be cleaned up a bit, but this certainly looks inspired by Rodney's shape - which I like much more than the generic shape chosen for the 818. You pay your money and take your choice.
