Diameter of brake tail light hole

Can anyone tell me the diameter of this hole for the brake light?

I plan on a different light pattern, just like those we see on the Corvette (aftermarket LEDs, like http://www.xtralights.com/05-07chevycorvette06-07corvettez06ledtaillights-blackpair.aspx which is on sale up to tonight).

These are around 7.2-7.5" as far as I could find.

The vette lights aren't round. I think the hole measured on the order of 6 inches. I measured it last week for something.

Actually, if the pix are right, the 05-11 are round, but not the 97-04 http://www.xtralights.com/97-04chevycorvettec5ledtaillights-red.aspx

Anyway they are too big.
Anyway (again), I have a year to found something out and I can still take advantage of next year's Cyber Monday. :)
