This is a 347 Fordstrokers DIY kit. Assembled by me (LOTS of fun and satisfaction). I dropped it in about two months ago, had an overseas vacation and a busines trip for a couple weeks, so I finally got back to it.

I had a couple hiccups, a loose fuel fitting under the car and a couple crossed spark plug wires (embarrasing mistake).

The sound on the video is pretty bad, it was windy, point and shoot camera, and it was just so LOUD it overpowered the microphone. My wife is already asking about quieter pipes.....

I still have a huge smile on my face. I was like a kid on Christmas day. It is always a bit of suspense to wonder how the cam is going to make it sound. I told Jim that I wanted it to idle like a Cobra, not an F150. I think the custom cam delivered in that area.

It is great how many "big" days these cars deliver. Go cart is next. I did move forward a few feet and then back into the garage.

WOW. You are in for a big day tomorrow! At the end of my arrival day, my cheeks were sore from smiling so much.

Today was another one of those days. My wife got a real thrill seeing me so excited (I am normally a pretty reservered kind of guy).

Avalanche-

Great video. It was really fun watching you bring the beast to life. She sounds awesome!

Thanks very much for sharing your moment with us. It is truly inspiring!

There's probably a few of us turning wrenches a bit harder thanks to your video.

Congratulations!

Regards,

Steve

They are FFR stainless pipes. They sound great. But, they are seriously loud.

I certainly felt like a kid a Christmas. I did a quick 30 ft run down the driveway and man, it sounded good. It took some serious restraint to not go around the block. I just got insurance today. So the next thing is to align the front suspension (Fastrax), get all the bolts in the seats, and put the harnesses in. Then it is go-kart time. More smiles to come!!!

Be careful! I hear the Govt is thinking about a new tax on people with this level of joy and excitement! LOL

I can feel your excitement!

I have heard the FFR pipes can be too loud for some. Think I will try for some quieter ones.

Excellent and good for you. You did have a big kids' smile there. I hope to post my first start in a short while of my 429 with a thumper cam and FFR side pipes. Great video. Nick C
