Powder Coating Control Arms

I believe that I have read in some of the threads that builders have powder coated their suspension components, and I was concerned about exposing the ball joints to 400 degree temperatures. Are there any plastic components in the ball joints that can be damaged from the heat? Thanks.

I just had mine done last week. I asked the same question. There are no plastic components inside, just grease. You will have to degrease the joints thoroughly and then you should be good to go. You can re-grease them after the fact.
