My pickup date is this December 21st. I have already stripped my donor and prepped most the items for the build. I am wondering when you guys like to see build threads started. My assumption is when the kit is received but perhaps i should already be contributing the many trials and tribulations i have come across with my donor to date. Is there an etiquette to this?

Thanks for all the contributions by all the gurus here at FF5forums, your help is priceless for guys like me.

I started almost a year ahead. I documented the tear down and refurbish process.

Welcome... another SoCal 818!

I'm in S.D. North County... live in Encinitas, but my build is in a garage in San Marcos.

That's my p/u date too. It'll be fun to bounce ideas back and forth and watch the builds progress. Welcome!

Thank you! I am happy to be a part of this group and experience. I would really enjoy a trip over to S.M. as your only a quick 30 minutes away. Let me know if this is something we could arrange.

I am a 9-5er so I am guessing I can only invest 2 hours per day in a perfect world. I also am have my first baby and she should be arriving sometime late January. The word on the Street is that will soak up nearly all my time so i need to hit the build hard in January. Anyone who wishes to be a part of any build day is welcome, I am truly wet behind the ears compared to the knowledgeable gentlemen posting on this forum.

First baby and first kit car at the same month? Wow, you're in for it!

I'm a newbie builder, too. My my advice is to read as many build threads as possible, as well as the quick tips. This will cover a lot of details not in the manual. Don't be afraid to ask questions, and measure twice, cut once!

Great, more owners in my area. I'm in Anaheim and have a production date of April 5, 2014. Our 1st baby is due March 11! Since you're a few months ahead of me I'll be able to see what I'm in for.

Please clarify "due date", that's a loose term around these threads :)

I think that sounds like a good idea. OK party is on, anyone is this forum & their family friends are welcome. I will reach out to Stewart and see about getting a definitive delivery date. I'm guessing it will be between December 27th and Jan 1. I will post more information once I get a build thread going which I think i'm going to start today.
