Build school

I'm heading to the build school Dec 13th. Wife got it for me for our 29th anniversary. She wanted me to go. I figured what the heck I'm sure ill pick up some tips. Im almost to a rolling chassis but still a long ways to go.

Only thing is I think it will be pretty cold. And its hard leaving our cold 70's temp down here. Just got in from a nice 100 mile bike ride this mourning.
Anyone on here going ?

Hey Joe-

Have a good trip up North, and enjoy a taste of cold weather! I am envious of those taking advantage of the build school. It sounds like a great experience.

When you get back, you have to make a post of all the tips and tricks you learned from the school! You know, help us slackers who haven't made the trip!

I don't envy you warm weather guys coming to Michigan in December. Last couple years have been relatively mild, but not so far this year. Long term forecast for that week looks pretty normal for us (20's and 30's). Don't worry about the weather. Just enjoy the experience. I'm about 45 minutes from the school location. My Mk3 is in storage for the winter :( and my Mk4 build underway in the garage.

Well I'm from Connecticut, and we've been playing with the 20's and 30's for the past month; this wont bother me. I just dont want to see snow!

Getting closer looks like i'll need to bring a jacket . 82 today here and heading out for a nice mc ride.

We should put something together for a nice dinner one night for all of us. Anyone know anything in the area?

There are lots of good places not far from the school and common hotels. The class I went to had most attendees eating together each night. Instructors went once or twice. I don't remember all the names of the restaurants, but the instructors will be able to give you lots of ideas.

Enjoy the class - bring your list of questions because they will likely ask before you start working on the car - and "get your hands dirty". Lots to learn by actually doing it.
