I'm wondering if there's any pricing on purchasing 818 axles separate. I have an 07, and will need different axles once i install a LSD. However I was hoping to do that with next winters upgrades, but don't want to waste too much money.

Thanks, Adam

Hi Adam,

We've got 818 Axle Shafts available for $95ea. Just specify Turbo or Naturally Aspirated, and let me also add this note (which you may know): Our axle shafts are based on the stock Subaru equipment, so spline type/count is configured based on which OEM CV joints your donor car would have come from the factory with. Be aware that some aftermarket CV joint/axle assemblies use different spline configurations, so you may need to replace a joint or two if the axle shaft you receive doesn't match the joints you have.

Hope that helps!

Adam

Like you I added a Quaife LSD making my axle req. 2002 inner to 2005 outer. I ended up buying rebuilt 2002 axles from NAPA for $60 each including the core. The FFR axles worked great from the rebuilt NAPA inners to 2005 OEM outers!

I had bought new axles before too...

bring them back, the splines will be wrong. You need OEM to get the correct splines... Ask me how I know and why Tony extolls my expertise... NAPA stated that they only rebuild OEM cores... To get them apart I destroyed the Chinese CVs the use a common mongrel spline on all their "new" axles to keep costs down!
