What is the clearance to the bottom of the car....I have lots of speed bumps where I live and need to make sure I will clear if I decide to get an 818.

4.5" is the "factory" ride height for the 818S. The 818R is 3.5". However, if you use a larger diameter wheel/tire combination, you might need to raise it up a bit to achieve correct suspension geometry.

Stock headers is above the frame rails

Don't forget the header. It might come down about 2" more according to some people, which would make the road clearance to... 2.5"?

The frame rail around the engine are 1.5" higher than the rest of the car. So if they hung out 2" that would sill be 4" off the ground.

Ok tnx for that, good to know. But to know that aftermarket headers may get the back a little lower than the rail.

Sorry for being wrong on post #3.

Make sure you read all the responses, not just the second one. ;)

My GTM is considerably lower then the 818. I have "sliders" on the GTM and I am sure Russ will make them for the 818 too. I only once have felt the sliders over a speed bump. The 818 will be high enough for 99% of driving and the sliders will take care of the other 1%.

Cory, I've built 2 of these so far and 4" is the minimum clearance any had.
