Why do you have to off set the radiator in the MK4?

Do you have to offset it? I am planning a MkIV and would like to know what this means.

What offset are you asking about Dave? It mounts the same in the Mk4 as it did in the Mk3; centered between the frame tubes:

Can you clarify your question?

The offset only pertains to the donor radiator to clear the radiator cap.

I used a radiator from the kit and I off set it just like the book said to do. I have just put the body on, I hope now i don't have any trouble with the sheet metal around the radiator. wish the book would have said it was for a donor radiator

I also offset mine like the book said. Mine is at the painters now, next week I am going back to help take the body off and bring the classy home. I plan on centering mine while its here. Looks very simple to move it.
