5x100 18x8 45 offset wheels with 215/45/18 Toyo T1r tires on all 4 corners? These have never mounted on a car, I can pick them up for 400.00 and use them as street wheels and keep what I already have for the track. The tire calculator says the tires are about 3/4 wider and 3/4 taller then the stock 205/55/16. I know FFR says 40 offset, not sure if the .5 (45 instead of 40) is a killer.
Advice appreciated.

The 45mm offset can be overcome with 5 mm spacers, lots online for $25 a pair, hub centric are best

Those will abosolutely not work in the front. The tire diameter (25.6") is too large. You would need a 215/35/18 up front. Optimal tire dimater in back is about 25".

Jim, I concur with broken shift, j/k nick
Up front for tires you want a 215 35 18 and or a 215 40 17 give or take a size depending on how r
They run .
For wheel offset: F you want a 40mm-35mm( 17x8, 18x 8 max) , R you want 40mm(9 max width, with like a 3mm spacer)- 35mm(8.75-9max width rim) a 9.5 wide rim might fit with the perfect offset, but your playing with God at that point, and I would recommend different control arms etc
So you have 18x 8+ 45, that might clear in the back by a short amount, and upfront the tire is to tall.

Ok I'm getting ready to buy some wheels and tires and thought I would run them by you guys for opinions
I'm looking at the Enkei RPF1 in an 17" 7.5 width front and 8" width rear with 215-40-17 front and 245-40-17 rear
they would be 23.7" dia front and 24.6" rear
do you see any problems with that

My fronts are 215-35-18 with a 23.9" diameter, and so far the clearance looks pretty good. You should be fine with 215-40-17 at 23.7". Not certain about the rears though. I'm not sure what the maximum width and offset is allowed before you hit the trailing arms.

For the budget builders out there I found this wheel while looking for a set for a buddy. I just got off the phone with the supplier. The wheels are $69.99 plus $15.00 shipping per wheel. Set of 4 shipped to your door for $340.00. They are 17x7 5x100 with a 35mm offset. The onlinetires was going to post a listing on eBay. They are called K125, so search for that. There are also NS-20 tires 205/40/17 tires for $250.00 shipping included, so for $590.00 one can have brand new wheels and tires. Figured I would pass it along.

215/45/17 and 255/35/18. I'm looking at Michelin pilot super sports and they don't make a 215/40/17, just looking at alternates they do make.
