Can anyone recommend a Halo style race seat for my coupe? I'm tracking the car exclusively and in the process of making it as safe as possible; however I'm not sure what will fit and whether I will fit in once it is installed. We are building up the roll cage from floor to mid way on driver and passenger door sides, which will further add to the entrance and extraction difficulty. But safety first.

Should be no problem if you are a 12 year old gymnast. ;)

Even the typical road race seats from Kirkey can make it difficult to get in and out. Your size is going to dictate just how tough it will be with side impact bars that high. A removable steering wheel is going to be a must.

I don't have a halo seat but just a regular road race seat from these guys.

You can get it in there if you're patient. I'm running (non Halo) Cobra Suzuka's with side mounts and they fit nice, however the Halo may come close to the top & side bar depending on your cage config. I"m 5'10" 190 lbs with plenty of room, my buddy is 6'2" 195 and also fits my coupe just fine. I was not able to use the supplied mounting system/brackets and had to fabricate my own using 5"x5" x 1/4" aluminum angle since the rear corners are tight and my seats are basically on the floor. If I was to run a Kirkey or other direct floor mount seat, it would have been 10 times easier, so keep that in mind when you're shopping your seats (look for floor - not side mount). I also added steel plate and tubing in the chassis under where the mount ended up to tie in the seats and center belt strap to the chassis. You can see details on my build thread. I do not have any adjustment, and since you're racing the car once you fit them in you'll be good to go. J13
