Been lurking here for a while, joined the site a couple weeks ago. I've always loved Cobras, and I've wanted to build a FFR Roadster ever since I first discovered them back in the mid 90s. Now I've gotten to a point in my life where it's time to make this long-time dream a reality. I had planned to buy a MkIV kit sometime next year, to give me some time to save up some money and be better prepared for the build. As luck would have it, a forum member (I'll withold his name in the interest of privacy, unless he chooses to post here) contacted me with an offer to sell his MkIV kit he purchased last year.

A significant portion of the build was already complete, with almost all aluminum panels drilled and riveted, Wilwood pedal box already installed, fuel tank installed, fuel and brake lines routed, entire front suspension complete, rear suspension compete except for needing an 8.8 rear end, etc. Looks like I still have a fair bit of work ahead of me, as well as shopping for an engine and transmission and trying to find someone to do some bodywork and paint for me. I ended up with a very good deal on the kit, and got it for a fair bit less than it would cost me to purchase the same kit/options, so I had to jump at the chance.

Now, I just need to take care of getting the kit home, and my journey can begin, and pick up where the previous owner left off. I am eagerly anticipating the journey, although I suspect it will take me a while to finish the kit, due to being limited on cash. Either way, it's going to be a great project, and I can't wait to be able to fire it up and drive off down the road.

Anyway, just checking in to say hi and introduce myself.

I am picking up my kit from the original owner's house tomorrow, so just as soon as I can get it home, I'll definitely post some pics. Doesn't look like much, yet, of course. The body is still raw out of the mold and the doors, hood, and trunk haven't been fitted yet. But at least most of the chassis work is done. But either way, pictures will soon follow.
