Just accepted an offer with Lowes at their corporate campus in Mooresville, NC so the miles will begin adding up once more!
And NO I'm not living here in west Texas and commuting! :D Even I can't drive the distance between that fast!
So need Earl to crank up the Moonshine, we're coming back home!

That wasn't long! I'll bet you're glad to be back on the east coast.

Congrats!

Lowes corporate is in NC? Man, I knew there was a reason I prefer to go there than other stores. Hoping to move there someday...

Mike thanks for the info!! Will make it over once we kind of get settled. Meeting with the relocation team early next week to know what we bring and what they take care of. Then we'll head out there to begin looking for a new home - WITH a garage! :)

And YES David... being on the right coast makes all the difference when the news is on at 5-6PM and not Letterman does make it feel like home! :p

the miles... ok I was driving about 95 miles per day round trip, if I just took the "normal" route to the office in Little Rock. Then when I was checking out this position in El Paso I made frequent drives out which started the ol'odometer spinning as the speed limits on I30 & I20 and then to I10 were just about right for the Mark I to cruise at! After getting through Dallas other than the speeds its really just a long ride into the desert.
Add in a trip or so to upstate NY and a few side trips each day - for stuff at the store, a LOT of driving around town in El Paso to find a house, and the miles started to climb a bit faster than I had thought they would.
I had kind of expected with the road trips cut back a bit that the miles would very slowly climb but not this quickly.
Usually I have been putting on about 40,000 miles a year on the ol"Mark I, now with these extra trips I'm ... per usual ... just a tad over my usual mileage amount as approved by Dave Smith!

I wonder if FFR has gotten that new extended mileage warranty written up yet???

Tough housing market here in central NC!! BUT we found one! made an offer and they accepted it in less than an hour - this is where you think, I should have gone lower! Oh well thought it was a fair price for the house. Now the relocation team takes over selling the old house in Texas and moving us out to NC. I think we should be all moved out here just about Christmas time. I heard that there is a Christmas party at some place called Whitby's??

Ralph,
Congrats on the new job. If you ever get a hankering to see an old-school build, let me know. I have a mark one that never got finished. I'm almost at the point of getting it to paint. Good luck with your new job.
Seth.

Ralph, Have you moved to Mooresville area yet? I was at a cobra enthusiasts get together this morning and I ask if you were at the get together. One of the guy remembered you as "The Traveler " but didn't recall meeting you. We met at the Cracker Barrel and meet every 2nd Saturday. Next weekend we are getting together to drive the tail of the dragon. Let me know if you are in the area , We can always use a seasoned Cobra driver. Jim
