Raise your right hand and say after me,
"I (State your name), do swear/affirm, that upon acceptance of this "Revered Coupe Jacket", will willingly subject myself to all manner of frustration and abrasion that my FFR Type 65 will provide. I further pledge that any and all fellow Coupe builders will have free reign in using the cash available in my wallet as they see fit to improve my build plan. I will not look down upon our fellow Roadster builders, but rather take pity on those not talented enough to build a race car with a roof, So Help Me God!"
It is my pleasure to present you with the "Revered Coupe Jacket", Here's your sign!!

Chris,
I'm in Sherman. I have a pretty complete garage mahal to build the coupe. Fellow builders always welcome. I pick up the coupe dec 7, hopefully engine, trans, rear end and wheels will be here in a couple of weeks.

33K Later. Well I think I am pretty much committed. Mailed the big check to FFR today. I had the dough and thought I should send it to them before I spent it on something stupid! Bucks spent to this point:
24K Complete kit with 3 link complete rear, big brakes, Hallibrands, carpet, wipers, heater etc. (Did save 3K on
the options with the 50/50 fall special-good deal.)
5K New turnkey H/O 302 roller motor.
3K New TKO 500, mid shift kit, clutch.
1K Tires, battery, and assorted Russ Thompson goodies.
Budgeting 5K more for paint and misc.
Gonna keep it simple and period correct.
Pick kit up Dec 7th.
Oh yeah, $95 for vanity plates "TYPE65"
Wish me luck and stay tuned!

If you are doing the bodywork the $5,000 for paint is about right, however if you are not, better add something for that. My paint and body work on a black body was just under $15,000. Yours is a red body so you'll be saving quite a bit.

Picked up the coupe #624 complete kit Wednesday in Wareham. Front suspension and brakes done. Pedal box installed as well as gas tank. Waiting for the Hallibrands and 3 link rear to arrive. New 302 roller motor ready to go in. I must say that FFR puts a nice kit together, quality components.
