moving pedals for more leg room???

I have the full kit and I noticed that if I could move the pedal assembly back or if I could find some adjustable break and clutch pedals I could get a little more leg room. Has anyone done this?

If you have the complete kit with the Wilwood pedals you can adjust the pedal location at the connection points to the MCs. Just verify you retain full throw before bottoming out.

I don't know if the FFR pedals are adjustable, but the ones I got from Fortes are. I gained ~2" by using thos pedals and adjusting them full forward.

What seats are you using? I'm 6'-2" (not a wookie) and with the Kirkey seats and Mustang pedal box I fit very comfortably.

Just be careful when adjusting the pedals. If you look from a side view at the pedals and pushrods and MCs the pedals swing in an arc and you don't want that arc to go too far up as the pedal is depressed. Think of an hour hand on a clock at 6 oclock representing the pedal. If you push it from 5 oclock to 7 oclock the end of the pushrod doesn't move up and down much at all so it stays close to parallel w/ the MC bore. But, if you adjust the pushrod shorter so now the pedal is going from 6 oclock to 8 oclock, the end of the pushrod is moving up quite a bit and will be far from parallel to the MC.

Are you using the kirkey seat? That will get you maybe 2 inches of legroom compared to the classic one FFR supplies.

Don't forget to put the drivers seat on adjustable rails. Works great and then the distance to the pedals isn't as important. Also lets someone else drive the car (if you dare!!).
