The FFR supplied clutch cable comes with a bracket attached to it. It's position is not near any part of the engine or engine bay to attach it anyplace. I've tried moving the bracket with my hands, but it doesn't budge. Before I use more aggressive methods, I want to confirm that it is supposed to move in the first place.
Thanks.

Whether provided by FFR (or anything you buy e.g. Ford, Ford Racing, etc.) have the brackets in stock location for the Mustang (typically) application. So, yes it's normal to have to move. And yes they're pretty stout and take some persuasion to relocate. Unless you're way stronger than me (not that hard...) you will need something more than just your hands. You need to move it to a spot where it can be routed as smoothly as possible and away from heat sources, e.g. the exhaust manifold. On my Mk3, I relocated the bracket, bent it a bit, and bolted it to the DS engine mount. Some guys attach to the 4 inch tube or even the F panel. Whatever works best for your build.

I spread the bracket to remove it from the cable, then turned it around and squeezed it back tight. Then, I drilled two holes in the 4" round tube and tapped one to accept a mounting bolt. The other hole acts as a capture point for the tab on the bracket.

Flipped mine as well and bolted it to the fuel pump mounting boss with one of the block off plate mounting bolts. Routes nicely under the engine mount just like the Mustang.

Bend, flip, tweak as needed to secure the cable for your particular routing...

I tried flipping it around, moving it up and down, even cutting and welding it. Finally I dumped that bracket altogether, and fabbed my own, hanging off the front of the head. It fits better, and looks better.

I re-bent the bracket and bolted it to the aluminum panels. http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt201/jjcobra_01/IMG_6764.jpg (http://s612.photobucket.com/user/jjcobra_01/media/IMG_6764.jpg.html)
