I've been renting a hangar at a local airport for the past couple of years - first as a place for winter storage on a 1/3 share basis with a friend and my brother - and after that first winter as my workshop for the FFR. Well, the owner recently announced that he's retiring out of state and made me an offer I really couldn't refuse. So, I'm now the proud owner of my own airplane hangar... although still without an airplane. For now, that's good enough, as it's a great place to work on 7074 and to just hang out.

To that end - hanging out that is - I thought I'd make use of some of the expansive floor by making it a bit more comfortable to surf this site and contemplate my project. I also took the plunge and ordered a lift - a BendPak HD-9 (9,000 lb capacity four post). The lift should be here in a few weeks - I'll make sure to post pics, of course.

For now, here's a shot of the lounge:

Awesome!

I so wish I had a place like this to call "home". Cars, buddies hanging out and a place to get away from it all -- good times.

In the "spirit" of Halloween, the other night a bunch of us got together over there for pizza, a little work on the car, and the movie "Christine."
