Picking up a roadster kit in four weeks. Planning on a using a 390 stroker for the engine. I've located a few decent 390 blocks out west, but the freight charges were as much as the cost of the block.
If anyone knows of a decent block within a few hour drive of the Syracuse area, let me know.
Can't wait to get started!!!!

Here's one on Craigslist in Whitney Point. Just do a search for Ford 390 in car parts for NY on Craigs List.

Thanks Rob. I have looked on Craigslist and EBay. There are some complete engines out there, but I'm looking for a block that I can build myself.

I ended up buying a complete motor off Craigs List for my roadster in 2000 for $300. The block was the only thing I used. If you have the money, I would buy one from Keith Craft. The price looks steep, but after my machine work, I had about $1200 in the block.

Also, Barry has this available at Survival Motorsports, in Detroit. I have talked with him and all the machine work is completed and clearanced for an FE stroker kit.

This thread from this forum is following a buildup of a 390, purchased from the link above. Great work and documentation.
