OK, so early on there was this whole 'name the car' thread, and like a Zillion names were suggested, and none ever stuck. I don't recall, but I'm sure Mongoose must have been one of them, and it didn't take back then. But if that name does catch on now, credit needs to go to whoever suggested it first in that thread.

The Mongoose is known to be one of the few things that actually goes around killing King Cobras. The Roadster (totally NOT a cobra for lawsuit reasons :P ) is the classic car that FFR is known for. It's what they started with and what made them into the company they are today. It's kind of bad business to imply that your new product "Kills" your most famous product. You can totally say your new product is awesome, and that it's the best thing you've ever done, but you definitely dont want to imply that your old product is bad or inferior.
It is a sweet name though :)
