Ezra Dyer, Contributing Writer at Automobile Magazine, has been following the 818 project from it’s inception a few years ago. Just recently, Ezra tested the 818S down in Virginia. His write-up in Automobile Magazine is due out in the next issue, BUT iPad owners can download the Automobile Magazine app and read the article now.

Hi Dave,

Awesome, thanks!

I clicked on the video link, but it takes you to the Factory Five "What's New" page, upon which I only find links to the iOS app for Automobile Magazine.

EDIT: Video link posted in another thread...

We tried to embed the video in the post and I've heard other reports of it not showing up in the post. I tried three different browsers on my computer here at FFR and also on my MacBook and it worked on all so not sure what's causing it to not work on others. I've added a link in the post to visit Yahoo's page. Thanks for letting us know!

Thank you for posting this. Very Cool!

The 818S hung with a 2013 Viper with a stock WRX drive train, no LSD. I can't wait to see one of the more built engine/ transmission 818S or the 818R against the viper. My guess is that will be very unfair... for the Viper!

Great job Factory Five!

The video worked for me once, when I went to show it to my wife shortly after, it kept linking to some wintry driving video. Looking forward to the article.

Think about what we can build for less than $25K compared to a $459K SRT GT3-R Viper.

The White 818 has an unmodified WRX engine (only the exhaust mod provided with the kit) and an open differential. Many options to boost the performance (hence less than $25K for a higher end STI build vs $15K WRX build which nearly matched the Viper)!

http://www.drivesrt.com/racing/viper-gt3r/#specs

(640 HP /1290 Kg for SRT) * 818 Kg = 406 Hp for equivalent Hp to Weight - This and more is achievable if desired.

Great Job Factory Five!

Cheers!
