I'm at the step to install the starter solenoid. The manual says, "If you are not going to install an A/C system, a nice place to locate the solenoid is on the passenger
compartment side of the firewall, this way you retain the clean look on your firewall." But it doesn't recommend a spot if you are going to install an A/C system, which I'm going to do.

For those who have installed an A/C system, where did you place the starter solenoid?

I'm mounting mine on the passenger side firewall, low on the 45* part and making a cover for it. You'll never see it in that area but it's still accessable if need be. It's also a short run to the starter from there. Behind the firewall makes it kinda hard to get to, I would think .....

I found an answer to my own question. After pulling the engine/transmission out of the donor car on Thursday, I looked at the starter and sure enough, the solenoid is right there. So problem solved. No reason to use the FFR supplied solenoid. Thanks to those who responded. Moving on to more wiring (after I get the taxes done).
