Engine mockup and starting to cut out the dash. Going to call Wayne P. pretty soon for EFI system to go with the stacks.

You might consider Megasquirt. It's a little more work. But it's much easier to customize for your application. And there's a lot of capability in that little box.
Also, you really need to get rid of the "tea strainer" air filters. They cost me about 100hp. These two dyno runs were taken just minutes apart. We did a run, then popped off the filters, and then did another run.

You can tell by the AFR tracing that the filters create a lot of restriction.

Yeah, I got the stacked injection used and they came with the "tea strainers" and was missing one of them. Something else will be going in their place. Thanks for the info!

One of these days I'm going to buy a set of these:
"Three layer stainless steel filtering down to .009 with virtually no air flow restrictions."

100hp that is insanity. On the bright side an easy way to depower on rainy days. LOL.

MVRight, Thats interesting paint that you used on your panels, it looks like red crinkle paint of some sort??? What is it and why did you decide on that?

Actually it is LizardSkin with Duplicolor MetalCast red over their sliver base coat. Thinking/hoping the LizardSkin knocks down some heat and I'll have some other thermo protection in the inside. Got LizardSkin on most of the outside cockpit panels. Did the red over it as I have some other red in the engine compartment. LizardSkin comes out black and has a rough look to it, at least how I applied it. Got a color scheme in my head, but it's going to be a driver, so it ain't going to be fancy :)

Hi MVRight,
I'd like to give you a heads up on a potential issue with the EFI circuit you have. It's nothing to do with performance but rather a safety issue. Some forum members have posted warnings that an inline fuel pressure gauge is a potential failure point and therefore a engine bay fire hazard. There was a fairly recent thread showing the results of a fire. The system was very similar to yours. Opinions were pointing to various causes such as AN fittings but there was a fuel gauge in the system. I can't verify that it was the actual cause but it was suspicious looking. I have a Shrader valve in my circuit so I can do a quick check of pressure. There are lots of racers who probably have a way around it. Anyway, if you have not taken this into consideration, please do.
BTW, really like your panel treatment.
Thanks,
WEK.

Cool! - thanks for the answer! - It's always interesting to me when I see something new like that. when she's all up 'n runnin let me know how it helped out.

Skullandbones, yep saw those threads on the fires and possible issue with the fuel pressure gauge. It's only going to be in there long enough to set the pressure then it will be removed and capped. Already got a plan to have a fuel pump cutoff switch on the dash. Hopefully never have to use it for a fire!
Like most of us, I like something different and I kind of like how the panels came out. After seeing traveling USA Rick's and PJ's the panels are mostly hidden, but I was too lazy to do the shinny stuff others have done.
I don't post much, but figured should post just because I've learned so much looking at what others have done, even if it wasn't something I wanted to do. Figured I could at least return the favor and get some pointers or things to consider during my build. Thanks all!
