So now that my body is mounted I wanted to look at tail light mounting. I had noticed some uneveness in the way the rear tub set on the chassis.
The driver side is sitting pretty tight on the 3/4" rail

The passenger side though has some room there

Does the tub get mounted to the 3/4" rails too?

Also the rear panel has a gap on the driver side but not on the pass. side

The rear corners are tight in the frame so I'm not sure how I can manipulate it.

Also how did you guys mount the rear quarter aluminum panel to the body next to the roll bar by the quarter window?

Thanks for your input,

John

As to your last question I just put a couple of rivets through the AL into the fiberglass. As to the body not sitting on the 3/4" rails around the hatch, something doesn't look right. Mine sat right down on both rails. How is the back panel? Is it up against the metal plates where the tail lights mount?

JC,

Yes the panel is right up against the tail light mounting plates. I've tried to push, pull and tug however it does not seem to want to sit down on the passenger side.
