Hi All,
My name is John Santiago. Since I had been lurking around the 818 section long enough, I figured it was time to jump in and be officially active.
Here are my vitals:
Future car: 818R
Current car: 2006 Mustang GT (track prepped)
Garage Ornament: 1972 Mustang (fastback)
Occupation: Philosophy Professor (no joke, people really make a living doing this :))
Home Town: Chicago, IL
Hobbies: high performance driving (HPDE, Time Trial, & Coaching)
Affiliated Organizations: NASA-Midwest, MVP Track Time, HOD-Great Lakes, MW F-body Association
I'm a teacher by trade, so naturally I love to coach folks at the track - best of both worlds! If you're interested in getting your car on track, shoot me a line. I'd be happy to help.
I've been tracking the Mustang since the summer of 2007, so I think it's time we look at retiring the car and getting into a new one. I brought my son home from the hospital in that car and I promised him he could have it when he's old enough to drive and is mature enough to handle it. She's been very good to me, so I need to start looking for a 100% dedicated track car that'll still accept passengers. The 818R has caught my attention in a big way. I'm looking forward to seeing the car's development - only wish I could get into one sooner to help spur that along.
Good to be here.
Best,
-j
