Hi Guys:
I saw this listing on craigslist for a donor car in Keene NH, and was planning a trip (2 hours each way) to see it.
http://nh.craigslist.org/cto/4086437931.html
After mulling it over, I decided I would wait for a 2006 WRX for the 2.5 Liter engine. I had already planned a trip with the owner of the car, and he was rather disappointed that I changed my mind, so I said I would post his info here.... I have no association or knowledge of this guy other that a few phone conversations, but here is what he told me:
He's a subaru mechanic working at the dealership in Keene for the last 8 years. He personally freshened up this motor about 1K miles ago... bearings, rods, timing belt, etc. The car yard drives but has a few front left bent-up suspension parts. Presently missing only the radiator. Clean interior. Chassis has 150K miles on it.
If you're closer to Keene than I am, and interested in the 2.0 engine this might be worth a look. Still has a clean title, so might be a fixer-upper instead of a donor. He wants $3500
