ok first of all. I looked all through my boxes for the mounting bolts that would fit on the coyote and found nothing. The only thing I found was a bag labeled 4.6 mounts (not on the sheet, that I could find anyway) full of 6 bolts, washers, 2 nuts and 2 aluminum spacers. After lining up all the engine mounts I found that only 2 of the bolts fit, the others were the right size just different thread. So off to lowes I went.... finally get the engine sitting in the engine bay and it fits like a glove... I have read that people had to shim the mounts to stop it from hitting the drivers pedal box but mine is perfect and has room for me to expand for more foot room.

After all that I reliezed that I will probably have to shim it anyway because my headers and J pipes are extremely close to the frame. It looks like I would probably have to raise the engine about 1/2 inch to stop the pipes from hitting the frame when the engine torques.

I guess my question is.... How did most people raise their engine? Did you use the washers in the 4.6 bag that I talked about earlier? Where did you apply the shims?

My j-pipes wouldn't fit without them.

We fabricated our own 3/8" spacers. Very similar to what ClemsonS197 acquired through Whitby. I do not recall receiving the bag of "4.6" washers that you reference, but do strongly suggest that you shim at least the 3/8". I had custom headers made (From Stainless Headers Mfg) so that wasn't my issue, but that extra 3/8" just made everything fit better and gave that much extra clearance to get the oil pan pretty much even with the frame.

how do you like those headers? Did you see any power gain? i was looking at geting those but might have to wait awhile to get them. are they a pain to intall once the engine is already in the engine bay?

The headers are wonderful and fit like they were designed for this setup (which of course they were). I wouldn't say that at the moment I have definite proof of enhanced power, but the flow of the pipes, the collector, the quality, all point to the fact that it should have an improvement. The j-pipes with the tight bends really concerned me from not only a fitment perspective, but they also looked like they would be more restrictive in flow then these ones. But to be honest, with the Coyote in these cars, you'll have more then enough power either way.

As for installation, there is no way you will get the Coyote in a MKIV with ANY type of headers on (at least I can't see how it would be possible,) so that shouldn't be a gating factor in your decision process. But again, these were designed for this car, so they come in and out without all that much difficulty. (Easier on the Psgr side to be sure).

I also heard that they are now building re-packable side pipes as well, and given the quality of the headers, I bet the pipes will be beautiful as well.

I just received them in the mail today and it looks like the alignment holes wont line up. Did you have to do any modification to yours? IF not can you send me a pic or something. I just got out of the field training for a month and I am trying to figure this out but I am extremely tired. lol if you don't have one no big deal I will tackle it when I get some sleep.

They don't match the frame pads. The hole is for the small knob on the motor mount. The slot slides on the motor mount bolt. The slot either points forward or backwards. I can't recall.
