Hello folks from South Carolina. Today I made it home with my first factory five car, a 2001 mkII. A good friend bought it in 01 and never finished it. Now it's my turn to make it roar.

Basic specs are 302 with trick flow intake, wedge aluminum heads and cam, 3550 trans and Lincoln rear axle. I'm not sure where or when he stopped, so I'm going to pull the engine and basically act like its a new install.

Cheers!

Congratulations on your find & purchase, looks like a nice one to start building with.
Just wondering if you live in Alaska? because I see by the date & time on your photo, it's still daylight at 11:29 pm!

Nice find!

Since you have the body off, do you have any retrofit/upgrade plans? I'm thinking side X braces, rear trunk hoop and tunnel backbone...
What kind of shocks do you have?
