On the S I think they took out the motor and it was just adjusted by hand.
The R had aftermarket mirrors.

You can retain the power mirrors.

Any feedback on the aftermarket mirrors used in the FFR R build? The look perfect for my project, but hard to find any info on them on the net - except for places selling them. I've read they're made by Genesis, although nothing about them on the Genesis web site last time I looked.

Several places sell these mirrors. The literature states the stem mounted aftermarket rear view mirrors (SPA style) require allen wrench access to the back-side of the ball-joint (at the body or windscreen mounting point) and mirror housing for adjustment. Imagine that every time someone walking by "bumps" one of your mirrors.
The mirrors shown on the 818 R prototype are said to require no tools for adjustment. That's more like it.

They look good in the pictures and and on the R. Was hoping someone who had used them and maybe driven the R might chime in an give some real world experience.

I sent you a pm a few days ago. ;) Look at the top where it says "notifications". If it's highlighted in light blue, click it and select "go to inbox" (or something like that).
