Windshield installation

Hello Roadsters, I am in the process of installing the windshield post. Before I screw anything up I just wanted to reach out to see if anyone has exact measurements to cut the winshield post.

You didn't mention what Mk you have. Mine is an MKIII. I cut 1.875 inches front edge and 3.187 inches from the rear edge. For some reason, I still had the pieces I cut off. But just use that as a ruff guide if your's is a different model. I also used a wooden template (trial fitting) to cut and measure before doing the cut on the posts. Good luck and measure thrice and cut once. WEK.

I have a Mk IV

I used a wooden template also before cutting mine.

Btw, best windshield install tip is throw out that crack-prone POS and buy Fast Freddie's mr10 lexan windshield replacement and Whitby's stainless steel inserts. You'll be happy you did.
