We’ve known Henry Renaud for more than 10 years, and in that time, he has built 7 Factory Fives (2 GTM, 3 Roadsters, 1 Hot Rod, 1 Challenge Car)! Henry is an officer in the United States Air Force and has served two tours of duty in the Middle East. While he is not in a war zone, he has a passion for building Factory Fives.

Henry wasn’t the only Factory Five customer visiting this morning. Factory Five customer Gary Cheney stopped by to check out the 818S. Cheney is putting the finishing touches on a brand-new GTM being built for SEMA 2013.

Congratulations, Henry! All of us at Factory Five are looking forward to seeing what you build this time.

I'm really happy to see the effort being put into the RHD car.

It seems like every desirable car made in the US was LHD only, and the cost of conversionis is really prohibitive.
As an example it can cost up to $38000 to convert a late model F250 to RHD! Vipers and vettes about the same.

Excellent work FFR and I think it will pay off, it certainly helped me make up my mind, mine is due early next year

Off topic:

Is that a 20th anniversary edition Mk4 GTI in the background?

On topic:
I hope to see Henry R make a build thread and document how he solves some of the challenges we've had (though, many might be fixed on his chassis by now).

Henry-

Best of luck with your latest build! Please keep us updated if you are able. I think it is awesome that you have been able to build so many FFR's! I can't wait to see what you do with the 818.

Thank you also for your service; we remain grateful!

Regards,

Steve

Henry,
congrats on the 818. When are you going to be down in Florida?

Henry,
I guess you decided ;)

Keep us updated on how the automatic goes; I could wind up going that route for someone else.

Thanks Guys - just going through inventory now. I am using an 04 WRX automatic for the donor. I'll post progress pics and enjoy the challenges (most of them anyway :>)) Wayne - plan is to come down on 10/15. Your cars look great but the silicone is missing in the pictures...
