My Michigan donor wasn't that bad... did take a bunch of elbow grease and a large compressor to drive the sand blast cabinet...

I am not even going to bother to try to get the suspension out. Time to buy all new bolts. I will only steal the CV joints. No way I could even get the drive shaft out. I had to cut several bolts just to drop the front member.

Wait until you try to get the long bolt out of the rear knuckle on a rusty car, to say it's not fun is a gross understatement

Wayne. I bought a new set on Ebay. Ive struggled with that bolt before. No fun.

Only if you don't want to save the bushing, the nut came off easily. It took a 10 ton press and I broke a cast V block in half before I got both bolts out of the bushing sleeve.

Gallons of PB Blaster?
Added: A 50/50 blend of acetone and ATF is supposed to be a better penetrant/rust remover (paint remover, too) than the commercial stuff.

Someone needs to come up with a complete list of all the donor hardware that is needed in order to do a non donor build
I know the 4 strut bolts are M14x1.5 long. I couldnt find any that were flanged like the originals though. McMaster doesnt carry them.

I love CA cars... nothing but some Simple Green, wire brushes and a bit of elbow grease and my parts look good as new! :cool:
