This thread is for anyone and everyone that is still learning (such as myself) to post their potential donors and seek opinions from the more experienced members here.

I just bought the above car for $7750, comes with a set of winter tires, rear brembo brake calipers, and 08 wrx transmission - all of which I'll be selling to recoup money.

The reason I went for this car was the excellent compression numbers, fresh short block (with receipt), and rebuilt heads. Bonus is that the interior is very clean and should sell and it has a 5k mile old clutch.

This will also be good to improve my skills while I'm waiting for my 818 which is due in August of 2014. I've never pulled an engine/trans from a car...yet.

Any and all feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

Did you see a dyno of it or some claimed numbers?
Curious to see what's coming out of it.
Looks very nice on pix! I am not an expert to judge that but I'm just giving my opinion. :)

This owner did not have a dyno to show. I'm considering taking it to a dyno night at a local performance shop just to see what it's starting at.

Seems decent, but a bit expensive. It does take a lot of risk out of the donor side of the equation, though, and it should require less prep work. Still to be determined how much you can recoup by selling off parts.

If you are going to get it dyno'd right away, why not run a bit of a contest - see who can guess the peak HP and peak Torque numbers? Should be fun! If you choose to do that, I'm going to say 310 wheel hp and 315 wheel torque. :)

300awhp/290awtq :)

That sounds fun.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say 287 awhp/300awtq

243awhp! 18psi

Less than what I was hoping, but good to know nonetheless. Dyno dynamics equipment that is low reading.

Now to get that number where I want it.

For once Xusia didn't guess right! :)

But only 18psi, can it do more?

That's still quite more than OEM.

It is a significant increase from stock power numbers. I think with some well planned mods I can get to where I want power wise without going over the top.

I'm really considering the blouch 16g xtr. Supposed to have a very fast spool and great transient response, which will be important on the track.

Wow. That's [obviously] a lot less than I would have thought with the mods listed. Still, that's decent considering it's at the wheels (~310 crank HP).
