brandwood cable shifter bracket hitting frame

I read in the other forum that some have the cable shifter bracket, the one that mounts to trans hits the 1x1 trans support frame.
Mine is doing just that, bottom tube of bracket hits before I can even bolt it up. what has others done to fit this, or do I have to call Erik for a new bracket.
I also read somewhere that I can message this tube a little to clear, but I an concerned that it will throw off the shifting actions with the rear of the cables.

please help.

Shane has the brackets for the front shifter mount, which I have. I am refering to the bracket that connects to trans.
