I much prefer the competition dash layout over the current roadster dash provided. I will probably purchase a blank dash and make on myself but prior to that I was in hopes of getting a little history on the current dash.

I was wondering where the layout comes from for the current Factory Five roadsters. I believe it is the street version layout but not sure.

It would be nice to get some input and photos of other dash boards.

Input is greatly appreciated

FFR uses the 427 street dashboard layout.

Contact Glenn (ASTGlenn). You will save money and it will be better than you could hope for.

I hate to admit it but I never wanted the Comp dash until I was done installing the standard one. I now see the advantage. I may make the change myself a little later.

Here is what I finally came up with. It's not a true to scale competition dash but has it's " flavor ". I also added a glove box which is not standard in a competition dash. May not be perfect but it's mine.

I received a ton of help and want to thank all the guys who post on the both Factory Five Forums.

Thanks again

Luis

Well I'm taking the comp dash plunge while my body is off for paint. As usual I can't leave well enough alone! Gotta be tweaking and spending money.

Here ya go guys. I put my own spin on the Comp Dash. Why not just put all the gauges in the center and not be trying to peek through the steering wheel for 2 little gauges? I also moved the headlight switch behind the dash on the left and hide away the the stereo amp and fan switches. The high beam switch is now on the dead pedal at the top. All the heater controls were tucked away beind the dash back on the first go around with the standard dash. Its all there and easy to reach but the clutter is off the dash. Only the ignition switch and horn button are on the dash now. The horn button is placed so it can be pressed while still holding the wheel. The ignition switch is now on the left like the Chicken Rancher cars.

I like your layout alot..it's very similar to what I had in mind.., but I have no CAD skills, and would definitely want to have it water-jetted..and I would have a couple of modifications of my own as well. I have a freind with some CAD skills, but he doesn't have the time to create from scratch. Do you have a CAD file on your dashboard that I might be able to get from you to modify and use?
