I'm clearing out some parts I won't be using in the rebuild of this MK2.
This ESS system was off of Jamie's car that I just bought, and it probably saved it from burning more than it did. I'm rebuilding the car, but I'm going more street than track, and despite the utility of the system, I really don't like the look of it.
It's an ESS 5.0L System. Jamie had all custom AN lines made, which he said was $200. Typically, brake lines are used to install the system. The lines are pre-sized to run to the back of the firewall, and on each side of the tranny tunnel (as recommended), plus one short one to the fuel tank area. Install should be pretty easy.
The system needs to be recharged, which you can buy for $64.95 online, and do it at home. The red canister holds the retardant, and then the gold is the propellent.
I have the paperwork on the system as well.
New, the system (without AN Lines) is just over $500. So, there's about $700 into it.
I'm thinking $375 plus shipping would be a fair price for everything, but I'm open to offers.
