I have downloaded the 818 assembly manual. I find it to be generally very clear and understandable. The photos are great. Three answers I have yet to find: Does FFR supply the alternator belt and steering rack short bypass line I see pictured? Also, it is still unclear just how much of the formidable wiring harness we can get rid of. Thanks guys.

The Kit does come with a 5 rib alternator belt.
It does not come with the power steering bypass tube. There are some short bake lines included. Maybe one of those is for the PS rack, Or you can flare the existing tube and use it over.

This would be my method on the wiring harness. After you get everything plugged in and working. Any wire that is not connected on one or both ends, can be removed from the harness. I suspect somebody will make a list if you want to diet the harness ahead of time.

The harness wire diet is a tedious chore that some choose not to perform. Many have spent hours doing the diet on a roadster harness. I like Bob's idea, it would be faster than getting a wiring diagram and continuity checker.
