Another race...ANOTHER WIN!!

Another great race from what I hear. GTM led the first couple laps, then the SLC led for many laps, then got passed by the PDG GTM in traffic. GTM was pulling out a lead when SLC had mechanical failure in the fuel system. Congrats to Richard, Yvonne, Jim, and the whole team for a job well done!

Crash - I think you mentioned that there was a car 10 seconds a lap faster. Apart from $$$, what's making the car so fast? I assume it has a lot more horsepower and all the other bits required for the car to make use of that power?

That wasn't this event, but the 6 hour at Miller Motorsports Park.

That is a pro team with pro drivers(Randy Pobst) running a 1600 pound car(Norma) with 365 HP on 90 minute usable race slicks as opposed to the PDG GTM that is piloted by us "hobbyists", is 2600 lbs, 500 HP, and runs one set of DOT approved tires all race long! The differences are really pretty stark.

The pros, Davidson Racing, who have three cars, didn't show up for this sprint race because their pseudo SLC that is at Riley & Scott was not finished in time, and they blew up the BMW last weekend. To quote their engineer..."the only fluid left in it was brake fluid"! LOL! :)
