R.I.P. Speed

Well today Aug 17th, 2013, is the official new take over of Speed channel to FoxSports1.

Now the big question is what will happen to all the car shows, racing coverage etc. I know some of the racing coverage is still going to be there, but nothing like it was.

Some of the car shows needed to go anyways, like some of the wacky reality shows that were just lame, but the ones that people really like, no telling what will happen to them.

Now that there is really no "all motorsports" channel anymore, where do we all go from this point on?

There they go again taking away something that everyone seemd to really like. I had to call Direct TV today to find out what happened to my speed channel.
This is a bummer. I guess we will have to wait and see what will happen with all the good shows that were on Speed.

This was just the burial. It died when Fox bought it.

Remember seeing WRC? "Behind the Headlights?" Isle of Man TT? Reno Air Races? Victory by Design? SCCA Runoffs? Paris- Dakar?

I agree totally, I am already having withdrawals from the change. Sunday morning Race Day was only an hour long.

Speed lives on here in Canada - for now anyway. It seems to be only a shell of it's former self and to add insult to injury, it looks like I can't get Fox Sports 1 here.
