I created this forum FOR vendors, but I've gotten some feedback that a vendor-centric forum for vendors to post specials, etc. would be a good idea. Everyone would have access. Maybe only vendors could post new threads?

What do you guys think?

hum, I not sure I understand the goal of this new forum.

I have posted a thread, but it does not show in the "recent threads" on the home page. I have to login , then I'm able to see it.
I doubt the visitors (members and guests) could see it?
So I duplicated my thread and posted in general discussion...

Is it to communicate between vendors and admin only?

Yes, it is a forum for vendors and admins/mods ONLY. It is a way for us to discuss vendor-specific issues privately. That is why you don't see it unless you are logged in.
