Factory Five customer and long time supplier Russ Thompson has won a tremendous number of car show awards for his Type 65 Coupe and Mk1 Roadster. Russ is also a vendor on this forum. I thought I'd share this picture of Russ that he forwarded to me.

Hope you can find my edits.

Dave,

Russ built an amazing coupe and so many people have been inspired by his build ... thus the phrase "WWRD" What would Russ Do? Thanks for posting that pic ... I see your boss has posted that one on Facebook, also! Well deserved accolade!

No one wants to take a stab at the edits? Here's a link to a bigger version of the picture. (http://www.factoryfive.com/images/ffforum/Russ_C_Car_1500.jpg) Maybe that will help.

I'll take a stab and say the C-Car sign and Something on Russ's t-shirt?

What do I win?

:D

Dave,

I, too, missed out on the "edit" point of the email ... I'm guessing the round sign above the garage doors.

The sign next to the garage door has been altered to eliminate the C*b*a word and I think the white ball on Russ's t-shirt had a logo that's also associated with the dreaded chicken farmer...

C-car street and rusty-boys shirt logo. Also Daytona logo was stripped of the fender of his coupe... Sad days that drive these ridiculous edits! Fun to point out though.

Nothing to win but we do need to start a weekly or monthly FFR sponsorship give-away.

Russ, Mad dog can give you a whole "make-over if you want... heels, handbag, etc.

Re: the Daytona word, They dont have control of the word, even better the car failed in the last attempt vs. us for tradedress. We (FFR) AGREED not to use the word Daytona way back in 2001 along with FIA and Cobra. That's the reason we called the car the Type 65 Coupe. Better yet though, I have the drawings from Dick Smith of the original Super Coupe, which few are aware of, and in my twisted mind, always thinking I'd get to it, I wanted to do a true Type 65 427 powered coupe using Dicks drawings of the very original single car for myself... With the list of things I want to do growing and time in the day shrinking... Sheesh, not enough time!

Dave, thanks, sorta what I figured but it always nice to get the facts, and I'll skip the handbag but can he make me a bit taller? :-)

Russ,

Maybe they could pencil in a handlebar mustache ... you know, to carry on the "bad boy" mystique!

Garry, that might work, pull the eye away from the receding hairline! :-)

Russ,

I'm lucky I have any hair left at all after taking a ride with Wayne Presley in the X-Terminator yesterday! It's pretty spooky to feel the huge Nitto drag-radials breaking loose at 90 mph as the boost built to 22 psi ... Wayne had to feather the throttle at that point. Crazy horsepower, but what a ride. I won't be forgetting that ride for a long, long time. I told Wayne after the ride that I would not strap into that car with anyone but him at the wheel! Four wheel rocket ship comes to mind ...

Yup, that ol Wayne is one crazy HP freek. :-) My freek out was going down the street a bit sideways driving Dave Borden "mistress" :-)
