We have been catering more and more to customers who have their own donor already and want a fresh drop in motor or simply bolt on parts for their existing motor. This is nothing new to us, we have been doing it for Subaru the past 6 years. Please do not hesitate to contact us for a engine build, specific parts (we match any "competitors" price), or if you just need to be pointed in the right direction.

In the coming months we will be offering some 818 specific performance parts. We will go public with it as we get closer to production. The components we provide will bridge the gap between having to modify some much needed/demanded 02-07 WRX performance parts to work with your 818 and having a direct fit 818 specific piece :)

Until an 818 specific product line emerges here are some of the current products and services we offer whether you have a donor from us or not:

From moderate street applications to high horsepower demands and anything in between

very nice! the more i think about it the more I think i'll be contacting you guys when the time comes -- either for a pallet or for an engine. Another potential idea would be an engine and transmission drop in...maybe a 300 horse motor with the weak link and maintenance packages connected to a legacy gt transmission with a new clutch? I wouldn't mind a quote on that!

They you for offering these services to potential 818 owners. I'm in the "still learning" category and wouldn't know that I want a specific brand of rods or a specific type of header, etc. How well can you work with people like myself that know their end goals but not necessarily how to achieve them?

Eric,

I was in the same situation as you. Andrew at AJW was very helpful in answering my questions, and overall the customer service was excellent. Andrew selected the parts for my build and after taking the time to research the parts myself I'm very happy with what he's selected. I also ran the list of modifications by a couple local tuners (who will eventually be tuning my build), and with the exception of a couple minor differences in preferred vendors aside, they agreed with the mod choices. There were some errors in the invoices that were sent to me, but Andrew was quick to correct these. With AJW being as familiar as they are with both the 818 and Subaru's, they've been great to work with.

I have spoken to Andrew twice so far and last Thursday asked him to put me on the list for a stage one donor kit. Andrew, I sent an email asking about the catless uppipe.

I'm impressed so far. .http://thefactoryfiveforum.com/images/icons/icon14.png

@AJW (Andrew?),

Now that Wayne opened up Pandora's box in another thread regarding fitting the EZ30 in the 818, what if a customer of yours wants the EZ30R? Do you plan on offering the possibility to say buy a EJ donor, subtract some bucks from the final price for not buying the engine (EJ), find an EZ30 engine and add the bucks to the pallet kit?

And even better, offering the possibility to tune the EZ30, for example a full donor pallet but instead of an EJ it would have an EZ30R of 350whp and 7800-8000 redline.

Thoughts about that?

tnx

Frank818,
Not quite sure (in my opinion) that would be worth all the effort for a swap when you can run a 2.0 or 2.5 WRX with endless possibilities of readily available aftermarket parts but I am sure it is a possibility if someone wanted to perform a unique build.

I would be interested in a complete package package with an EZ30R as well.
