Those of you who already have them.

What dimensions did you use for your carts?

Pictures would be awesome! Picked up the metal for ours last week, wanted to get the tried and true dimensions from those of you who are using them already. :)

No pics yet, but another post (which I can't find now, I hate the search function!) recommended 60 inch by 40 inch for the support spacing

Got my build cart done. I hope the size is right I made it 60" x 40"

I measured the frame of the 818 delivered to Bkafe and at the bottom it is 50.25 wide and the floor of the cockpit is 58" long. I'll make a chassis dolly for building that holds the chassis with the engine mounted so it will be longer - about 77". Next week I'll build a chassis dolly for my kit that is arriving Aug. 14. I'll let you know what works.

I put the car on jack stands and took it off the dolly. Easier to work at the proper height off a chair... I'm old and disabled after all...

If I made a roller cart, I'd make it a 5 post. 2 under the front cross rail, 2 under the rear cross rail and one center of the trans. You would be able to install the engine on the cherry picker around the dolly that way.

I went with the mid-rise scissor lift option (picked one up used). But no kit until December. In the meantime, this thing has been useful!

I used a stack of 2x6s. I'd be happy to take pics and measurements of specific areas.

I like metalmakers cart... finish the suspension first and get it on the wheels!

60" X 40" Four Harbor Freight mini dolleys...two 2 x 6 x 8ft lumber 1/2 hour
Cost about $50
I figure I can add height with a timber superstructure when I know how high I want it to be.....and when I'm done ...remove screws and have "normal" lumber for whatever

Metal can you measure how wide your go cart is at its widest point( I would think the rear tires)

That will work, that's pretty much what I made

Thanks metal
I just needed to build something to be able to move the kit around and to get the donor off the lift and on to a trailer

I used locking casters on the one I built, well worth it.

For the Hot Rod, I just used the Harbor freight wheel dolly's with some cinder blocks with 2x6's on top. Worked great, took 5 minutes to cut the wood and I still use them for a bunch of other stuff around the garage.

That's a nice, simply solution. I like it.
