Thanks to all those before us that made the job just that much easier. They built us JIGS designed to travel the world improving everyones coupe!!!

We are done with them, so its time for them to move on. I figure doing a thread is the best way to keep track of them. I think the procedure should be....

-ask for the bars here.
-first come first served (but please don't ask for them if you need them months from now. Only ask if you think you can ship them within a month to the next person)
-person shipping pays freight (if in the continental US.) this is a way to pay forward. I am paying the first shipping and am glad to!
-It must be documented by the recipient that they are getting the bars BEFORE they are shipped.
-When you post they are ready to be shipped to the next person, please either include pics of your work or a link to your build thread.

Don't know what Side impact bars are? Well here is some help!!

And you can look at our coupie thread below showing how we did ours!!!

Good luck!

At one point I thought I read there was an East coast set as well as a West coast set. Is this true? If not, I would like to get in line as I will be ready for them in the next few months.

Thanks,
Todd

Todd,

There is one in NY, but it's the sole property of Andrew Wickline, it would be up to him to start passing it around. Rumor is, there will be a vendor from the West Coast
(Rick Anderson, of the Competition Coupe build fame) producing SIB weld-in kits in the near future.
The kits will come with all of the tubing bent and cut to size, you'll just need to have it welded in by a qualified welder.

Hank
